Since Emily and I both work full time, we try to evenly split the household responsibilities as much as possible. She does the cooking, and I do most of the cleaning.
To be honest, cleaning is not exactly something I enjoy. I mean, if I could watch a football game or vacuum the apartment…you get the idea. But, I know that having a clean apartment helps keep us both more productive and happy overall. So when I am dreading coming home and having to spend time cleaning, I try to remind myself of that.
Another thing that has really changed my attitude about cleaning to be positive is the Swiffer Wet Jet. It’s really user friendly, and I love how its cleaning solution helps to more easily break up and dissolve tough messes. Our kitchen floor can get pretty dirty, so the Swiffer Wet Jet has saved me a lot of time!
Swiffer sent us a Big Green Box, complete with the Swiffer Wet Jet itself, the Swiffer Wet Jet pads, cleaning solution, and even batteries! The Swiffer Wet Jet was very easy to assemble – I was cleaning within 5 minutes of getting started.
Swiffer also sent us a second #BigGreenBox to give away to a friend. After thinking about who else I know who hates cleaning as much as I do, I decided to mail it to a college friend who recently got married.
I really wish we could have captured their reactions via photo or video since it was a surprise, but they did call us to share how excited they were and since then have told us that it’s made all the difference in the cleaning of their home!
It was so fun paying it forward and seeing how the Swiffer Wet Jet gave my friend a more positive attitude about helping his wife clean their house as well.
I really like how Swiffer understands that real American families don’t have time to clean 24/7, and to help with that, they have made cleaning so much easier! Now, I actually have fun cleaning AND have more time to enjoy what matters most…that football game ;)
