“Santorini is beautiful. You HAVE to go to Santorini.” We heard this from so many people and thought that maybe because everyone loves Santorini, we’d have too high of expectations and end up not liking it. But nope, we loved Santorini too.
There’s a distinct charm in Santorini that adds to the beauty. Yes, the island is centered around tourism – it’s estimated that more than two million people visit annually. But to be in such a beautiful place on a Greek island with delicious gyros available around the clock and a boutique hotel host who treats you like her grandchildren is just a great place to be.
In addition to roaming the blue and white streets, seeing the domed churches, and of course ending each day with the most gorgeous sunset, one of the things I had always dreamed of doing in Santorini was a “flying dress photoshoot.” I had been following Flying Dress Photo on Instagram and every post made me more and more excited about this one in a lifetime experience.

One of the best parts of working with Flying Dress Photo is how quick the actual photoshoot was! This means that you can fit it in during any day of your vacation. We did not have much time on Santorini and really wanted to do the photoshoot, but didn’t want it to take up our entire day. That was not the case at all – in just a half hour, Dimitris captured more than enough photos for us!
We ended up visiting Santorini again on a Mediterranean cruise and were talking about how this would be the PERFECT thing to do for a shore excursion in Santorini.
