StoryWorth: The Perfect Last Minute Gift For Father’s Day

Father’s Day is almost here!

This post is about finding the perfect gift for Father’s Day. One of the most difficult things is deciding what to get your dad on this special day. What doesn’t seem like just a gift for yourself or a project for him? Is there really a gift out there that he’ll actually want?

For me, Father’s Day is a bittersweet day because my dad passed away 6 years ago. But this here isn’t a sad post. I’ve written other posts about my dad, his faith, and what he meant to me. My dad had a great sense of humor, so getting him a Father’s Day gift was always a fun experience for me!

One year as a joke, I literally re-gave him the exact card that I gave him the year before. 😃 I wanted to see if he’d notice or say anything. He had no clue that it was the same card until I told him. He joked back and said that it means 2x as much the second time I gave it to him. Needless to say, thinking of gifts for Father’s Day wasn’t one of my strong suits.

My dad loved to tell stories. And usually we loved to listen to them. There were just two problems with dad’s storytelling. #1) He usually repeated the same stories over and over. #2) As all great storytellers tend to do, he would perhaps embellish a few of the details. It’d be pretty cool to have a book written by him about his lifelong memories. What lessons he learned throughout life and how they shaped him into the father and husband that he was. My dad’s faith in Jesus was the most important thing to him, so it would be cool to hear how he saw Jesus working throughout each milestone of his life.

Since he passed, I’ve looked through a lot of his old photos and talked with mom about their young adult lives. Now that I’m 30, I’ve really started to take more of an interest in my parents’ life stories. There are a lot of funny moments and life lessons from my parents that I’ve heard about over the past few years, and I wish I would have knew before That’s why I think StoryWorth is an excellent Father’s Day gift.

StoryWorth is an easy way to preserve family memories. It helps you create custom questions that are emailed to your dad. His answers are then sent to the friends and family members of your choice. At the end of the year, his answers are compiled into a custom, printed book of memories.

Most dads are too busy to sit down and write out a list of their stories and life lessons. But StoryWorth makes it easy to answer the questions quickly, once a week. Before you know it, an entire book of memories has been created and you’ve learned things about your dad that you never knew before! It’s also a great keepsake for grandkids to get to know their grandparents better!

StoryWorth is hands down the most thoughtful last minute gift around. If you’re like me and usually totally forget about Father’s Day until the day of, just tell your dad you got him StoryWorth. There’s no need to wait for shipping or do any wrapping. Plus, it’ll be a lifelong keepsake to show up your other siblings. 😉
