Every year I say time flies, and this year is no exception. I can’t believe it’s already time to purchase Christmas cards!
We partnered with Shutterfly again this year to design our custom Christmas cards and oh my goodness, I just love them! Shutterfly has outdone themselves again!
My sister Caroline Logan Photography took our Christmas pictures again, and it was quite an adventure – it was freezing cold the day before, was beautiful the day of the shoot so I decided to wear a dress but then all of the sudden it started with these very strong gusts of wind, so much so that my hair was flying everywhere! It was a funny experience and I almost wanted to include one of those pictures on our card to show our real life moments, but decided against it. ;) I did, though, really want to capture this year for what it was. If we could sum up this year in a word, it would be thankful – so I really wanted that to be the message behind our cards.
I chose one of Shutterfly’s foil stamped Christmas cards with pearlescent paper and rounded corners and WOW – I am so happy with how it turned out! I really like the look of a large picture on the front with a smaller picture and text on the back, so I went with that layout again and the picture quality is just so clear.
For envelopes, I went with a pearlescent silver to match the cards, and added a “Merry Christmas” envelope insert that really adds to the elegance of the collection.
We then ordered address labels (the ribbon collage style, same as last year) and custom stamps! I am obsessed with the custom postage stamps because they make a great first impression in introducing your personality before the receiver even opens your card, and it overall just makes the card so much warmer. These are a must-buy!
We also created custom stickers to seal the envelopes which I feel make the card even more welcoming – plus, it makes the stuffing and sealing process even easier!
Speaking of which, Shutterfly offers an amazing option – if you don’t feel up to doing the work of stuffing and sealing envelopes, THEY CAN SEND THEM FOR YOU! I know that, for me, this would free up so much time and add even more joy to sending Christmas cards! I decided to send mine myself, but I think this is an amazing option to consider if you’re short on time.
Each year I feel like Shutterfly’s custom Christmas cards can’t get any better, but they always do – Shutterfly products are incredible and I truly believe they are the very best place to purchase Christmas cards! Also, Shutterfly offers custom card collections for all occasions – so you should consider this even for regular stationery and make your own stamps, stickers, and address labels!
