Wow, November is flying!! Can you believe Thanksgiving is in less than two weeks?
I may or may not have already had three Thanksgiving meals…
One was a “Friendsgiving” with some of our closest Maryland friends. We dressed up all fancy and had some tasty food. Another was at Whole Foods, for bloggers to sample their Thanksgiving menu…and let me tell you, everything was delicious! And the last one was a dinner with the international students at our church…Hudson and I made friends from Korea, Mexico, and more!
In addition to the Thanksgiving meals during the week, we’ve also been traveling (as usual) on the weekends. Last weekend, we went to Pittsburgh for a marriage conference – which I highly recommend going to, by the way! It was such a great time for us to relax, spend time together, and renew our purpose for marriage.
This past weekend, we traveled to Lancaster for my cousin’s wedding! It was so fun to catch up with extended family we haven’t seen in a while!
My only problem with all these exciting events around the holidays is that my hairstyle is ALWAYS the same! My hair is straight and boring…all I ever do is wear it down, like the above photo at my cousin’s wedding.
I have tried different hairstyles before, but always end up sticking with the same old hairstyle because it takes so long to blow-dry my hair and it won’t curl for anything. Anyone with me?!
Well last night, we were meeting up with Neely of A Complete Waste of Makeup and her husband Andrew, who are in DC this week! I love how blogging brings people together; the double-dates we do with bloggers are always SO much fun. Hudson and Andrew immediately bonded over their shared love of Androids over iPhones and are seriously meant to be friends.
Anyway, since we were going out to a nice restaurant with them, I decided to finally give a new hairstyle a try. I kept hearing about the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®, so went to Walmart and bought that, the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Brushless Motor Dryer, and velvet paddle and professional round brushes by Conair. Wow, did these hairstyling tools ever revolutionize my hairstyle! I am amazed at how easy creating new hairstyles is with these Conair tools. Here are the steps I took to create my hairstyle last night:
1. I showered and then dried my hair with the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Brushless Motor Dryer. And my hair dried SO quickly! This hairstyling tool reduces drying time by up to 70% with lower temperature and faster airflow to minimize heat damage. It allowed my hair to feel smooth and shiny without frizz.
2. I brushed my hair using the velvet paddle and professional round brushes from Conair.
3. I used the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret® to curl my hair. It’s SO innovative! All you have to do is place a half-inch strand of hair into the chamber. The tool draws your hair in to the chamber, curls for a few seconds, and then beeps when finished. My curls felt SO smooth and not frizzy at all!
