Shopping Tips

Did you go Black Friday shopping this year?

As is tradition, I went with my sisters and cousins…and this year might have been our craziest so far! We stayed out until 5:30 in the morning and shopped until we literally dropped. This is a photo of us refueling with coffee at some point in the night!

If you went Black Friday shopping, what was the best deal you got? Mine was sheets at Sears, on clearance for really cheap. I was so happy!

Do you have any go-to shopping tips for Christmas shopping?

Everyone’s Christmas shopping habits are different (last-minute shoppers vs. buy things here and there all year), but I always love hearing people’s shopping tips!

One of my best shopping tips is to always research what you want to buy online BEFORE you go find it in the store. It makes everything so much easier! You can read reviews, hunt for best prices and coupons, and see which styles/colors are in stock instead of wasting time on a wild goose chase trying to find the perfect product in the store.

Plus, it helps you clarify whether or not the product is actually something you want, rather than just grabbing it off the shelf because you’ll “save a lot of money” by buying it ;)

And don’t forget how much shopping online comes into play with Sears Reserve It, where you can browse items online and put them on hold, then go to the store and have hand-picked items ready to try on so you don’t have to waste time!

Did you see the Huffington Post article with Sears about holiday shopping tips? My favorite is to “avoid that ‘wait, let me pull that up on my phone’ moment.” I was laughing out loud about that because I hate when I am waiting in a long line and someone is not prepared! It’s so much easier (and time-saving for everyone) if you print out your coupons and make a list ahead of time.

And making that list is so much easier when you can get it all from one place. Sears is offering expanded free store pick up, which allows members to pick up sears.com or kmart.com orders at any of each other’s stores. This not only saves time, but also gives you a wider selection of brand-name products.

As you know from my other posts about Sears, they are making Christmas shopping more merry with new services that make shopping easier and more convenient. In addition to Reserve It and Expanded Free Store Pickup, they have In Vehicle Pick Up and Return & Exchange in Five. This means you can pick up, return, or exchange your online purchases for free – guaranteed in five minutes or less – without ever leaving your car!!

Sears also offers Advice/Member Assist, which with a click of a button, connects members with store associates across the country who can give you more great shopping tips!

Which shopping tip from the Huffington Post article is your favorite?
