If you read my post the other week about my college dorm checklist, you got a little taste of my college experience (and in that post I completely forgot to mention how much I love Target)!
One thing I didn’t mention is that when I was in college, my beautiful sister Elly was always so good about sending me sweet packages. She’d go out of her way to buy things she knew I’d love based on a cute theme, and write me the most encouraging note along with it. I always appreciated that because it was a great reminder that she was thinking of me and praying for me, even when we were hundreds of miles apart.
This week begins Elly’s senior year of college, so I wanted to send her a “good luck with senior year” package! The only problem is, I was having trouble brainstorming good care package ideas. I was trying to think of care package ideas specific to her.
Then I remembered that lately, she has gotten into a big health kick, part of which means all she’ll drink is water, smoothies, and tea. So I went to Target and bought a box of Bigelow tea for her (here’s links to their Facebook and Twitter).
Since the tea was mint flavored, I thought it’d be fun to do a theme based around all things mint. So of course I just had to buy her a cute mint mug to drink the tea out of…
…and I filled it with actual mints – her favorite!
I then added a mint binder and notebook, packaged it all up, and wrote a note letting her know I was praying for her.
