Thank you all so very much again for your prayers, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Even though we don’t have a chance to respond to all the emails and messages, they mean so very much.
So many people have asked what they can do for our family. I think the best way to answer that is to tell you a little more about Dad.
One of Dad’s favorite verses was Matthew 22:37-39, and he exemplified it so well through his life.
Dad loved Jesus Christ with all his heart, soul, and mind. He was sure to make it clear that he was not perfect, but that his goal was to live for God. So when you think of Dad, spend time with Jesus. Tell other people about God’s love. There would be no greater joy for Dad than to know that his life impacted others to love Jesus more.
Dad also loved people. He was the life of the party, but at the same time, he cared about each individual person as if they were the only person on earth. There are SO many stories of adventures he had with friends – and even strangers – and ways he impacted people’s lives. We love hearing those stories. This is not easy, and it will never be easy. But we can smile through our tears because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and because of all the wonderful memories we have of Dad.
