We have officially hit the road! It feels surreal that we’ve finished renovating our motorhome and are officially on this journey that we’ve been dreaming of for the past seven years – to visit all 50 states of America!

As I write this, we are in Florida! On our way down from Pennsylvania, we ate dinner with 12 of our friends in Maryland, spent a night at a random parking lot in Virginia, hung out with Hud’s grandparents in South Carolina, then stayed a night at a beautiful campground (pictured in this post) in Georgia. One of the things we are most excited about on this trip is catching up with old friends and family we haven’t seen in a while, as well as meeting new people along the way. When we did our “test trip” weekend in the fall, the people at the campsite beside ours were random strangers but spent 1.5 hours with us and it made us so excited for all of the people we will be blessed to connect with along the way!

Another thing we are really looking forward to – and already have had a lot of fun with – is riding our dual sport motorcycles. Neither Hudson or I grew up riding dirt bikes, and I never ever pictured myself having a motorcycle license. But we loved the idea of not having to tow a car, so we bought a dual sport (which means it can go on the road or on the trails) and loved it so much that we ended up buying another! It is fun to experience an outdoor activity we really enjoy together like that – we’ve already been riding a lot in the Florida sunshine and look forward to hitting the trails again soon. (Never thought I’d ever say that, but it’s true!)

Something that really complements our outdoor lifestyle are Bear Creek Soups®. After a day of hanging out outdoors, the last thing I want to do is go back inside and get all cleaned up so I can spend two hours in the kitchen chopping up ingredients to make dinner. Making Bear Creek Soups saves SO much time because you literally just pour the package into boiling water on the campfire and have a nice little campfire time until the soup is ready to eat in 20 minutes! Bear Creek Country Kitchens uses only the highest quality ingredients, and the soups are absolutely delicious!

I also love that their soup mixes save space in our motorhome kitchen – it helps so much to just put a bunch of soup mixes (eight servings each!) in one basket, instead of the ingredients for one batch of soup alone taking up a whole shelf of both the cabinet and the fridge. Speaking of which, Bear Creek Soups® do not need to be refrigerated before opening the package, which is so nice for people who are tenting and don’t have a fridge.

Are you looking to start on your own outdoor adventure? Through March 31st, you can enter to win the Great Bear Creek Getaway sweepstakes to the River Stone Resort and Bear Paw Suites located on the Fall River in Estes Park within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Click here for more information and to enter!

We are so excited about having a more outdoor lifestyle, and can’t believe the journey has officially begun! Here’s to many adventures ahead, and many servings of Bear Creek Soups. :)
