As most of you know, Hudson and I love to save money any way we can. Even with both of us working, living in the Baltimore / D.C. area means we have to be on a tight budget.
So when I heard about Bing Rewards, I was thrilled! With Bing rewards, you can earn gift cards (Starbucks and Sephora, anyone?!) just from using Bing like you normally would. I feel like I’m always searching for something on the internet — everything from recipes to directions to a new restaurant that we want to try — so why not be rewarded for that?!
Bing Rewards is available on desktop as well as for both Android and iOS smartphones. To the left is a screenshot of how Bing Rewards looked on my phone when I first logged in. I keep Bing Rewards bookmarked on my phone’s home screen so I can access it with one click.
I’ll be honest. When I first heard about Bing Rewards, I was a little skeptical of how browsing the internet could earn me rewards. BUT guess what…I am well on my way to earning that Domino’s gift card I’ve been eyeing up. Free date night in?! Yes please!
Having said that, I love the other option Bing gives you to “redeem” your rewards: donate them! You can donate to incredible organizations like Teach for America (for which many of my friends are teachers) and Bing in the Classroom (more on that in a few weeks)! The ability to give your Bing Rewards as a donation to these organizations is really neat.
I love that Bing Rewards offers another way for Hudson and I to save money in our everyday lives, as well as to donate to help better the lives of others, without necessarily having to do anything extra.
So how can you get started? Sign up for Bing Rewards today! It’s easy; just log in with either your Microsoft or Facebook account. Then, use Bing as your main search engine, and you’ll accumulate points each time you run a search. You can also earn points by completing other activities, such as using Bing Rewards to plan a vacation.
